is having people think my entire identity is in being a musician. I am passionate about so many things. A lot of people overlook that because I chose to be a music major. It is a really demanding program. I am serious about it. I love playing the beautiful instrument that is the modern pianoforte. But my heart is crammed full of fondness for other things.
Not just, “oh, I like this, I like to drink coffee and read books.” No. Drinking coffee is a spiritual experience for me. Something inside of me is healed every time I drink a cup of coffee.
I have a passion for the helpless creatures in this world.

Man, all these cool music things I’m queueing are making me miss school.
I’m ready for it to start back! <3

3 exams separate me from summer: Orchestration, History of Western Music II, and Music Theory IV.
I’m getting quite anxious because I have a lot I want to achieve and I’m ready to dive into it.
Not that anyone cares, but here are some things I have on my reminders (eeeeep one of my favorite things about the iPhone):
crochet blankets for dogs and cats
work out—run in the morning
read Furuba (Fruits Basket)
hang with this guy (yes, this is on my to-do list, because I have so many activities I don’t want to forget! and it’ll motivate me to clean my Lord of the Rings-themed bedroom so we can gush over it)
have my Tumblrless bfffff over to my house for the first time (hey, it’s college)
dye some of my hair purple!!!
volunteer at Pets Inc.
And then there are musical goals, such as learning works from Schumann’s Kinderszenen, giving a benefit recital for some awesome missionary friends of mine, starting the 3rd movement of Haydn’s Piano Sonata No. 32, etc., lots of nerdy things…:)

Promoting my other tumblr that consists of lolita, food, crochet, Pooh, Adventure Time, and other various things I like…:)

My musical goals for this summer:
Learn whatever my piano teacher assigns, which we won’t discuss ‘til after my jury. Hopefully Rachmaninov’s Prelude in G minor is included.
Re-learn and polish a bunch of pieces so I can play a benefit recital for some missionary friends of mine.
Learn pieces by Adele on the piano so I can accompany myself and drown in my emotions.
Learn “Paradise” by Coldplay on the piano and tweak my voice and maybe record it for fun.
Keep my eye out for a book of Hunger Games music for piano solo.
Learn works by my friend. I’m particularly excited about “rainshower.”
